Homecoming is the second album by the band America and was published in 1972. With the help of guest musicians including Hal Blaine on drums and Joe Osborne on bass they tried to make the overall style rock- oriented.

The play Ventura Highway on its known reef Janet Jackson's hit Someone to Call My Lover is based was one of the greatest achievements of the band, according to the moderately successful singles Do not Cross the River and Only in Your Heart in 1972 with the Grammy was honored as Best New Artist. The album reached # 9 on the Billboard charts.
