Homerus of Byzantium

Homer from Byzantium was an ancient Greek grammarian and poet from Byzantium. His main creative period was during the 124th Olympiad ( 284/280 BC) at the court of Ptolemy II He was the son of the poet and Andromachus Moiro. He wore the nickname neos / neoteros ( " the boy "). He was one of seven members of the tragic Pleiad and the rival of Sositheus. Homer wrote 45 or 57 tragedies and epic; none of his works has survived.
