Honda HSV-010 GT

The Honda HSV -010 GT is a prototype racing car, designed by Honda for business operations of the Japanese Super GT series and presented in January 2010. HSV stands for Honda Sports Velocity.

History

On October 23, 2009 Honda announced that the Honda NSX Super GT previously used is withdrawn because the new rules of the Super GT, only vehicles with front engine and rear wheel drive are allowed. This rule did not meet the mid-engine NSX sports car. At the same time gave Honda announced that they would continue to be represented in the series and would develop a new vehicle. This would be based on the stopped train in the financial crisis and developed for series production " New NSX " sports car. Although all Super GT race car of Toyota / Lexus ( SC430 ) and Nissan (GT- R ) are based on production cars, Honda was now allowed to use a cart, which does not exist as a street version.

Technology

Is powered HSV -010 GT called from a HR10EG V8 engine with 3.4 liter displacement and a cylinder angle of 90 °, the (~ 500 hp) and maximum torque of nearly 400 Nm, delivers an output of over 370 kW.
