Hong Kong women's national football team

The women's national football team represents the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China in international women's football. It is subordinate to the National Football Association The Hong Kong Football Association Ltd..

History

The team represented Hong Kong already at international football events before the year 1997, when the country was still a British colony. This continued after the handover of Hong Kong to the People's Republic of China and its transformation into a Special Administrative Region in 1997. Hong Kong has since, like Macao, its own independent of the national team of the People's Republic of China national team, in the spirit of "one country, two systems " doctrine.

The first international match of Hong Kong took place at the World Women's Championship in 1975, the first continental women's football tournament, which was hosted by Hong Kong. The games are but just like the in the following three tournaments by FIFA not listed.
