Honor (Band)

Honor was a Polish RAC band from Gliwice. It consisted of 1989 until the dissolution of 2009.

History

Honor was established in August 1989 and was next to Szczerbiec and [ [ Polska ] ], both of which were founded a year earlier, the first Polish right-wing rock band. In September, her first concert in which the band recited seven pieces in front of a smaller audience followed. In 1990, the demo recording Bialy appeared Front ( white front '), and the band gave some more concerts. After some line-up changes the occupation remained stable. In 1995, the album was released Droga bez odwrotu (, path of no return ') on the very successful Polish label Fan Records and 1998 Ogień Ostatniej Bitwy ( Flame of the last battle '). However, the label was forced to declare bankruptcy shortly thereafter. For the Polish scene, this was a bitter loss, the gap was not filled until today. As a consequence of Honor had to resort to foreign distributors. In 1997, Olaf, in agreement with Adam Bartnikiewicz of Konkwista 88 Album Ziemia Wiecznych Prawd on.

In 2000, the split release Raiders of Revenge appeared with the Polish NSBM band Graveland on Resistance Records; both bands thus sought to reconcile their respective subcultures. After initial lack of interest in any contract appeared there later the album In Flames of the Rising Power. Moreover Honor brought a mini-album with two well-known songs, Sanhedryn and Na Szubienice, out, which can be found on the compilation Day of the Rope.

As of 1998, the band began their songs into English. As a result, two compilations To Survive for Victory 1989-1999 Vol.1 appeared that appeared on Street Fight Records in 1999. In January 2002, singer Mariusz Szczerski was arrested for disseminating neo-Nazi and anti-Semitic content.

On 3 August 2005 Mariusz Szczerski died as a result of a car accident. After his death, the band paused initially. A year later, another album was published, containing live recordings of an Unplugged concert, which took place in Jena in 2004. Olaf Jasinski led the band continued until 2009, but then declared the resolution. The band activities were limited only to the publication of old albums and songs.

Importance

Besides Konkwista 88 is the most well-known right-wing rock band from Poland. She is internationally known and also to find a list of the U.S. organization Anti-Defamation League. Together with Konkwista 88 and other bands formed Honor 1992 to 1994 the organization Aryjski front Przetrwania (, Aryan survival Front '), which follows the example of Blood and Honour -based and international legal rock concerts brought to Poland, including a concert with No Remorse.
