Honoured Inventor of the USSR

The honorary title of Honoured Inventor of the USSR (Russian Заслуженный изобретатель СССР ) was a state award of the former Soviet Union, which was donated in the form of a badge on December 28, 1981 by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. The ceremony took place until the end of the Soviet Union. On 30 December 1995, the honorary title was picked up again and awarded under the name Honored Inventor of Russia again.

Award conditions

The honorary title was awarded to people of the Soviet people, who imparted by their outstanding and exemplary development of new and more efficient machines on the fields of science, technology and of electronic and microelectronic fields. The award of the title of one and the same person only once was there possible.

Stylish look and manner

The gold badge is in the form of a medal and shows on its obverse the symbolism of the researchers teaching in the form of a gear, a hammer and a stylized rocket. Approximately in the center is adorned with the Red Star of the Soviet Union, and the initials CCCP (USSR). Enclosed is the whole of the inscription Заслуженный изобретатель ( Honored inventor ). Was borne the badge on the right chest and above may be conferred medals on a golden rectangular buckle with red ribbon. On this band the thumbnail of a laurel branch with fruits is additionally placed, pointing to the upper left.
