The Horimono (Japanese雕(り)物) is a Japanese engraving on the blade.

Description

Many Japanese blades are decorated to improve (Hi) or for decoration with engravings. There are various traditional motifs that are benamt different. It uses the following designations:

Ken (剣): The representation of a sword - or Ken Tsurugi - as an alternative manifestation of the burning deity (No. 6):

In today's blades, it is possible variety of engravings, to get even own designs. These traditional features have no meaning.
