Hosei University
Hosei University (Japanese法政 大学, Hosei daigaku, dt as: University of Law and Political Science ) is a private university located in Tokyo with three campuses: the Ichigaya campus in Chiyoda, Tama Campus in Machida and the Koganei Campus Koganei.
It is one of six universities in Tokyo. They evolved from a law school, the Tokyo School of Law, which was founded in 1880 and in 1889 merged with a French school. 1903 took over the University of the name Hosei University, 1920, she was recognized as a private university.
At the foundation were involved: Gustave Emile Boissonade, Tomii Masaaki and Ume Kenjiro, the father of the Japanese Civil Code.
