House Order of the Wendish Crown

The House Order of the Wendish Crown was on 12 May 1864 by decree, the two grand dukes of Mecklenburg Friedrich Franz II and Frederick William, donated to the " honorable testimony Most High of preferential recognition and respect and to award special merits ". Order of classes

The order consists of four classes, the first class is divided into two stages:

Order characters

The Order contains shield in the middle of the Wendish Crown, the Grand Cross with the Crown in ore in ore, in all the other classes in gold. The shield is surrounded by a red enameled band with the motto Per aspera ad astra (Mecklenburg -Schwerin ) or Avito Viret Honore (Mecklenburg -Strelitz ).
