How to Love is a song by the American rapper Lil Wayne. The written by Marcus Jorel Boyd, Dwayne Carter, Noel C. Fisher, Jermaine Anthony Preyan, Lamar Seymour, Lanelle Seymour and Bryan Williams song was first released on May 31, 2011 and reached the charts in 7 countries. Awards it has so far received only in the U.S. with 2 × platinum. There, the single could reach space 23 of the annual chart of 2011.
Music Video
The music video was first published later 23 August 2011 on MTV Jams as " Jam of the Week" and a day on YouTube. It takes 5 minutes and 22 seconds. In the video you can see Lil Wayne sing alternately sitting on a wall and a story. This is about a woman who runs away at the beginning of the video when she was supposed to perform an abortion. So you had a daughter, while the father is in prison. When she is bigger, molested the daughter of the stepfather of her. When she comes of age, she is a prostitute, sleeps with a man from a nightclub. When she then goes to the doctor, she is told that she is HIV -positive, after which she begins to cry and runs away. At once the time is rewound and she's back as a baby. It is shown what life they might have led, had married her mother at that time a better man. The girl is smarter and gets better grades, making their mother and grandmother proud. She gets a friend and at the end of the video it says the doctor that she is pregnant. She is happy about it. She thanked her mother and ends the video with the words "Just thank you for being did for me and teaching me how to love. " ("I want to thank you to be always there for me and to teach me how you love right. " )
Reception
The song received mixed review.
"This Tha Carter IV single is a casual ground- breaker - the gentlest, most melodic rap ballad since LL Cool J's " I Need Love ". Wayne sings prettily - though he uses Auto-Tune, he does not sound like the cyborg Weezy of "Lollipop. " He even channels James Blunt. " You're beautiful / You ' re beautiful, " he coos. " You're far from the usual. " "
Others
The rapper Rich Rick filed in a Los Angeles court a lawsuit because all the Drummer Boyz same beat as Lil Wayne offered. This used this beat in How to Love. Rich Rick, however, also sued Lil Wayne for fraud and breach of contract. Lil Wayne was acquitted.
