Howelsen Hill is a plant with seven ski jumping hills in the city Steamboat Springs in Colorado.

History

For the Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival a ski jump was built in 1914 in a designated as Elk Park area. The reason for the great interest in skiing were the ideas of the Norwegian ski jumper Carl Howelsen and immigrant. The later namesake of the jump is attributed to a significant contribution to the development of skiing in Colorado.
