Hristo Batandzhiev

Christo Ivanov Batandschiew (also Hristo Ivanov Batandziev written, Bulgarian Христо Иванов Батанджиев; * in Gumendsche, today Goumenissa in Greece, † June 18, 1913 in Aegean Sea ) was a Bulgarian revolutionary, founder and member of BMARK ( Bulgarian Macedonia - Adrian Opeler Revolutionary Committee, later renamed the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization ).

Christo Batandschiew today was born in the Ottoman city Gumendsche, Goumenissa in Thessaloniki in northern Greece today. After the Young Turk Revolution in 1908 Batandschiew was political in the party " Union of the Bulgarian Constitutional Clubs in Macedonia " ( Bulg Съюз на българските конституционни клубове ) active. In June 1913, after the outbreak of the Second Balkan War, he was arrested along with other Bulgarians by the Greek authorities in Thessaloniki and put on a ship to be interned on the island of Paleo Trikeri.
