Huachuca City is a city in Cochise County in the U.S. state of Arizona. Huachuca City has 1751 inhabitants in an area of 7.3 km ². The population density is 241.5/km ². The village is situated on the border of military terrain Fort Huachuca Military Reservation. Huachuca City is located at Arizona State Route 90 The nearest airport is located near the village and is called Sierra Vista Municipal Airport.

History

Huachuca City was originally a railway station on the Southern Pacific Railroad. In 1954, the military base Fort Huachuca was opened. This led to a growth of the local economy. The fort is the main employer in the city.
