Cochise County is a county located in the state of Arizona in the United States. The the county seat ( county seat ) is in Bisbee.

Geography

The County is located in the extreme southeastern Arizona, to the east by New Mexico, on the south by Mexico and has an area of ​​16,107 square kilometers, of which 127 square kilometers of water.

History

The name of the county goes to Cochise, one of the most famous leader of the Chiricahua Apaches during the Indian wars of the 19th century, who lived in the area and died in 1874.
