Huancas District
Huancas is the smallest of the 21 districts of Peru, from which the province of Chachapoyas in the Amazonas region exists.
Huancas is located at a place where flatten the high mountains slowly towards the river Sonche.
The saint of the village is the " Señor de los Milagros ", which is why the village festival takes place on October 18.
In the north, the district borders the district Huancas Valera ( Chachapoyas ), to the east by the district Sonche ( Chachapoyas ), also in the south to the district Chachapoyas, and to the west by the district Luya ( Luya ) and the district Lamud ( Luya ).
