Hudson-Ford

Hudson - Ford (including Ford or Hudson Hudson, Ford) is an English rock duo, founded in 1973.

Richard Hudson and John Ford played previously in Elmer Gantry 's Velvet Opera, and from 1971 at the Strawbs. Both were also the authors of the greatest hits of the Strawbs Part of the Union. The song came before 1973 to number two on the British charts. Then they separated from the Strawbs.

They released four albums, recorded with session musicians, under their name Hudson Ford. Three of their singles managed to enter the British charts, the biggest hit was pick up the pieces. With the advent of the punk wave they changed their concept and called themselves The Monks. Under the new band name two more albums were released, which were particularly successful in Canada. With Nice Legs - Shame About the Face and the Monks took a hit in the UK Top 40 Another project was conducted under the name of High Society.

In 1983, Richard Hudson has reconnected the Strawbs. Today John Ford lives in the USA. He has released several solo albums.
