Hugla

Hugla is a Norwegian island located at the northern end of the estuary of the Ranfjordes. The island belongs to the municipality Nesna in Norway's Nordland Fylke.

The island name has been mentioned in the Snorra Edda and is related to the concept together haug, which is related to the German hills.

The majority of the population lies in the east of the island, which is connected to a car ferry with Nesna. The island has a school and a small shop.
