Hugo Felix

Hugo Felix ( born November 19, 1866 in Vienna, † August 24 1934 in Los Angeles ) was an Austrian-American composer.

Felix studied at the Conservatory of the Society of Friends of Music in Vienna and then worked for some time as Kapellmeister in and around Vienna. In 1900 he emigrated to the United States. Between 1910 and 1925 he was on Broadway with his operettas very successful in New York.

Around 1930, Felix settled in Los Angeles, where he died on 24 August 1934 at the age of almost 68 years and found his final resting place.
