Hugo Friend

Hugo Friend ( Hugo Morris Friend; born July 21, 1881 in Prague, Czech Republic, † April 29, 1966 in Chicago) was an American long jumper and hurdler.

When he was two years old, his parents emigrated to the United States. In 1905 he was U.S. champion over 120 yards hurdles and long jump. The following year he won at the 1906 Summer Olympics in Athens bronze in the long jump and finished fourth in the 110- meter hurdles.
