Hugo Nicolás Barbaro

Hugo Nicolás Barbaro ( born December 12, 1950 in Partido Vicente López ) is an Argentine priest and bishop of San Roque de Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña.

Life

Hugo Nicolás Barbaro joined the Secular Institute of Opus Dei and received on August 15, 1980, the ordination.

Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on April 22, 2008, Bishop of San Roque de Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña and he was introduced to the office on July 26th of the same year. He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of Buenos Aires Jorge Mario Cardinal Bergoglio SJ on 4 July of the same year; Co-consecrators were José Lorenzo Sartori, Bishop Emeritus of San Roque de Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña, and Francisco Polti Santillan, Bishop of Santiago del Estero.
