Hultsfredfestival

The Hultsfredfestival is a music festival, the middle of June / beginning of July takes place on five stages in the city park of the Swedish Hultsfred place since 1986 every year. The festival was organized in the early years of the company skirt party and was in the meantime with over 30,000 Visit the biggest music festival in Sweden.

The 25th edition of the festival in July 2010 was canceled a week before and skirt party filed for bankruptcy. The festival was subsequently sold to the agency FKP Scorpio from Hamburg, which first hosted the festival in July 2011. In that year, only 10,500 tickets were sold.

In March 2013 the organizers decided FKP Scorpio, the festival under the slogan goes Hultsfred Stockholm! in 2013 held to be in the town of Sigtuna. Ticket sales had been very slow so far and it is hoped that by now given proximity to Stockholm improve the ticket sales. In coordination with the municipality of Hultsfred Hultsfredfestival the name is for the time being maintained.

A counter-initiative under the name This is Hultsfred, however, tried to preserve its own event Hultsfred as the venue of the festival.
