Sigtuna Municipality

Sigtuna is a municipality (in Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish Stockholm County and the historic province of Uppland. It is located about 50 km north- west of Stockholm and has an area of 328 km ². Capital is Märsta, other villages are the city Sigtuna, Husby - Ärlinghundra, Norrsunda, Roser Mountain, Skepptuna and other smaller villages.

Geography

The territory of the municipality of Sigtuna is largely flat and agriculturally used. In the southeast of the community of bird lake is Fysingen. The southern border is formed by branches of the Mälaren as Sigtunafjärden on which the city is located Sigtuna, and Skofjärden.
