Humanoid

As humanoid (Latin homo 'man' and AltGr. Εἶδος eidos [ idɔs ] 'shape' ) life forms and machines are classified in science fiction, which have a human or human-like appearance.

Be characterized humanoids among other things, that they primarily use a walk upright on two legs for locomotion, which always - be buckled in the direction of forward over a (knee ) joint - in contrast to Avoiden ( bird-like or avianoiden beings ). Furthermore, they have always a torso (body) as a central element on which the two legs, at least a head and arms, and where the general skeletal structure (if any) largely corresponding to a human being.

The humanoid attribute is a product of science fiction literature. Unlike humanoids were referred in its word formation all evolutionarily to the people belonging to species as hominid, in time as humans and apes have been performed in two different families.
