Humphrey Cobb

Life

He was with his anti-war novel ways known to fame (English Paths of Glory ), which was filmed by Stanley Kubrick with Kirk Douglas in 1957.

His parents sent him for his primary education in a school in England, so he only came back at the age of 13 years in the United States, where he continued his education. At age 17, he traveled to Montreal to join the Canadian regiment. After the war he went back to the European countries of England and France and came to 1934 not back to America. He wrote his second book, None But the Brave, which he published in 1938 as a serial in a newspaper. But it was not as well known as Paths of Glory.
