Hymenium

Under the hymenium ( German fruit layer) is defined as the organ of the Meiosporenbildung of hose and stand mushrooms, which is located in the macroscopically visible hyphae of the fruiting body. The Meiosporencysten - depending on the fungal group is called asci or basidia - are arranged in a palisade -like in a thin layer. Often lie between the spore-forming cells end portions of sterile hyphae.
