Hymno Patriótico

The Hymno Patriótico ( Portuguese for: Patriotic anthem ) is considered Portugal's first national anthem. The song was influenced by the cantata " La Speranza o sia l' Augurio Felice ". Until 1821, the text has been altered several times. After Peter the Great ascended the throne, the song " Hymno since Carta " became more popular and in 1834 officially adopted as the anthem.
