Hynobius

Hynobius nebulosus

Hynobius is a genus of salamanders ( Caudata ) from the family of the angles tooth newts.

Features

The skin of these newts is smooth. The limbs have five toes. Lungs are present. The teeth of the palate are lined up in a V-shaped angle. Ridges and furrows Ohrdrüsenwülste are well trained. The tail is laterally flattened. The larvae are limnophil, ie the larval phase is spent in standing water.

Occurrence

The distribution area of the species of this genus includes Japan, Korea, China and the Russian Far East. There may also be in Central Asia on the territory of the former USSR between Pamir and Samarkand resources.
