Hypocreales
Crustal ball Fungal ( Hypocreales ) are an order of Ascomycota. It includes plant and insect pathogens, and mycoparasites, endophytes and Saprobionten.
The fruiting bodies are perithecia of soft texture and bright, eye-catching color. The asci are unitunicat and formed between apical paraphyses that dissolve often at maturity. The ascospores are colorless, their shape ranges from non - septate and round to one to many septate, ellipsoidal to filiform.

The order comprises about 70 genera. To her the following families are counted ( with selected genera and species ):
