Hyrax Hill

Hyrax Hill is a prehistoric site in Kenya ( Africa). It is located near Nakuru in the Rift Valley province and is considered one of the most important Neolithic excavation sites in the country. The approximately 1500 BC dated plant was discovered in 1926 by Louis and Mary Leakey. From 1937 has dug here Mary Leakey. It can be found architectural remains, burials and built with stones fort was found 19 decapitated bodies in strange curved attitude, but also a still widespread construction game board with its typical wells. More recent finds from the Iron Age are presented in a small museum.
