Hystrix (porcupine)

The authentics porcupines ( Hystrix ) is a genus of the family of porcupines ( Hystricidae ) with eight species in Africa, Southwest Asia and southern Europe.

Spur

The porcupines have the longest spines of all mammals. The spines are converted hair.
