I Want You Back

I Want You Back is a pop song by The Jackson Five in 1969. History

The songwriter The Corporation had a song titled " I Want to be Free " written, was originally to be sung by Gladys Knight and Diana Ross. Berry Gordy, owner of the record label Motown, demanded that the song is rewritten so that it can be sung by children. " I Want You Back " was released in October 1969 in the U.S. and January 1970 in Europe as the first single from the debut album on the B - side was a cover of The Miracles classic " Who's Lovin 'You ".
