Ianca
Ianca is a town in the district of Braila in Romania.
Location
History
Ianca was first documented in 1834 and 1989 declared a town. The main industries are agriculture, food and the oil industry.
Population
As of the 2002 census lived in Ianca 11,383 people, including 11,262 Romanians and 116 Roma. Approximately 6,700 lived in the city proper, the others in the six incorporated villages.
Traffic
Through the city's rail route Buzău - Galaţi runs. On Ianca satellite station also express trains, at bus stop Ianca ( district Gara Ianca ) hold only local trains.
