IBM Lotus Freelance Graphics

Lotus Freelance Graphics is a presentation program by Lotus Development Corporation (now owned by IBM).

The program allows the user to text, images, drawings, and charts ( such as bar charts and pie charts ) involve similar slide show in a Microsoft PowerPoint.

History

Freelance Graphics was the successor to the presentation program Freelance Plus for DOS

The first version was released in early 1990 for the OS / 2 Presentation Manager. It could be already integrated data from Lotus 1-2-3. In 1993, the version of the OS / 2 2.0, and Microsoft Windows 2.0 came on the market.

Freelance Graphics is part of the Lotus SmartSuite for Microsoft Windows. The current version is 9.8 (October 2006).

File Format

The files created with Freelance receive the ending. Prz, store older versions with the file extension. Pre. Template files ( so called smart master) have the file extension. Smc. The file format itself is proprietary and can not be easily read by other programs. With Freelance Graphics can, however, read, edit and save many other file formats (eg Microsoft PowerPoint). However, there is a viewer for Windows with which the files can be displayed.
