IBM Spufi

SPUFI (SQL Processing Using File Input) designates an SQL statement that is not embedded in a program, but is sold through a file or a manual input.

On IBM mainframe, there is a tool with the same, which makes it possible to interactively modify database structures to edit SQL statements, execute and display the results processed.
