The parliamentary elections in Iceland in 1995 took place on 8 April 1995. In choosing the 63 members of the Althing were redefined.
The election brought a victory for the Independence Party under Prime Minister Oddsson Davíð despite a seat loss. You could combine 37.1 % of the votes.
Davíð decided to terminate the cooperation with the Social Democratic Party, which had lost three seats in the election, and to form a government with the strengthened Progress Party.
Represented New in Parliament was the left -wing populist party people awakening ( Þjóðvaki ), which split off in 1994 by the People's Alliance.
