Ichijō Kanesada

Ichijō Kanesada (Japanese一条 兼 贞; * 1543, † July 27, 1585 Japanese Calendar:天正13/7/1 ), was a scion of the Tosa Ichijō, a highly aristocratic go- Sekke family of Kujo Michiie derived. He lost control of the province of Tosa, who had his branch of the family occupied since 1470.

Ichijō Kanesada, whose birth name Machiyo (万千 代) was, was a son of Ichijō Fusamoto, his mother was a daughter of Ōtomo Yoshinori (大 友 义 鉴). Nominally, he was from 1549 - after the suicide of his father - the head of the Tosa Ichijō, the guardianship of the 7 -year-old had his foster father Ichijō Fusamichi.
