Idar Forest
The Idarwald ( kelt.: "id ar" - Forest height above the landing ) is an up to 766.2 meters above sea level. NN high part of the Hunsrück in Rhineland -Palatinate, Germany.
Geography
The Idarwald located in the districts of Bernkastel -Wittlich and Birkenfeld in the north east of the Saar -Hunsrück. It is located about in the local Triangle of Morbach ( in the northwest), Rhaunen (northeast) and Idar -Oberstein (southeast), but enough - apart from Morbach - not up to these places zoom. The subsoil consists primarily of Devonian quartzites.
