Idel'son (crater)

Idel'son is an impact crater on the moon back in the vicinity of the South Pole. It is located southwest of Schrödinger. Its northern boundary is superimposed on the larger crater Ganswindt.
This crater is in the year 1970 by the International Astronomical Union ( IAU) after the Soviet astronomer, physicist and mathematician Naum Ilyich Idel'son ( 1885-1951 ) named.
