Idiotville is a ghost town on the Oregon State Highway 6 in western Tillamook County, near the mouth of Idiot Creek in the Wilson River. The place was in the Tillamook State Forest, right on the Countygrenze.

History and etymology

1977 Bach Idiot Creek was named after the community and added to the list of the United States Board of Geographic Names. Near Idiotville a logging camp was to eliminate the damage caused by the Tillamook Burn. Because the camp was so far out of the way, you said that there only an idiot would work, so that the name originated.
