Tillamook County, Oregon
Tillamook County is a county located in the state of Oregon of the United States. In the 2000 census, the county had 24,262 inhabitants and a population density of 7 people per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Tillamook.
Geography
The county has an area of 3452 square kilometers, of which 597 square kilometers are water surface. Tillamook County bounded on the north Clatsop County, Lincoln County to the south and to the east by Washington County and Yamhill County.

According to the census of 2000, there were 24,262 people in the county. There were 40,584 households, and 6,793 families. The population density was 8 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 93.86 % White, 0.22 % African American, 1.19 % Native American, 0.65 % Asian, 0.21 % Pacific Islander residents from the and 1.89 % percent from other ethnic groups; 1.98% were descended from two or more races. 5.13% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 40,584 households out of which 24.60 % have children under the age of 18 living with them. 54.80 % were married couples living together, 7.70 % had a female householder with no husband. 33.40 % were non-families. 27.90% of all households and 12.60% had someone living alone at the age of 65 years or older. The average household size was 2.33 and the average family size was 2.82 persons.
Based on the county the population was spread out with 22.20 % under the age of 18, 6.50 % from 18 to 24, 23.50% from 25 to 44 years, 28.00 % between 45 and 64 years and 19.80% were 65 years old or older. The average age was 44 years. For every 100 females there were 100.40 males to 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.10 males.
The median income for a household was $ 34,269, and the median income for a family was $ 40,197. Males have a median income of $ 31,509, women $ 21,555.
