IEC 62264

IEC 62264 is an international standard series on the integration of enterprise computing and control systems. The Standard has been prepared by SC 65A System Aspects of International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Basis of the standard is the ISA -95 specification.

IEC 62264 Overview

The standard series IEC 62264 Enterprise -control system integration consists of the following parts:

  • Part 1: Models and terminology ( first edition, March 2003)
  • Part 2: Object model attributes ( first edition, July 2004)
  • Part 3: Activity models of manufacturing operations management ( first edition, June 2007)
  • Part 5: Business to manufacturing transactions (Draft, May 2009)

More parts are planned:

  • Part 4: Object Models and Attributes of Manufacturing Operations
  • Part 6: Business to Manufacturing Transactions

Overview of the German versions

IEC 62264 (DIN EN 62264 integration of enterprise computing and control systems ) is currently in Germany with the following standard parts before (January 2012):

  • DIN EN 62264-1: Models and Terminology ( Standard, June 2008 issue with revision November 2011)
  • DIN EN 62264-2: Attributes of the object models ( Standard, July 2008)
  • DIN EN 62264-3: Activity models for the operational production management ( standard, published January 2008)
  • DIN EN 62264-5: Transactions between business processes and production control ( Draft, edition 2009-09 )
