Ieke van den Burg

Hendrika Cornelia Johanna ( Ieke ) van den Burg ( born March 6, 1952 in Apeldoorn) is a Dutch politician ( PvdA).

Van den Burg worked in the graphics industry and has held several activities at the Federatie Nederlandse Vakbeweging, among other things, also in the Women's Secretariat. It belonged from 1999 to 2009 at the European Parliament. There, she was primarily responsible for accounting and for consumer protection. Further, it was 2000 alternate member of the Convention for the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. As Chair she also serves on the board of the multi-stakeholder organization Fair Wear Foundation.
