IF Fløya

Idrettsforeningen Fløya (in short: IF Fløya ) is a football club based in Tromsø (Norway). The first women's football team has been playing the descent from the highest Norwegian league 's top series in 2010, only second-rate in the first divisjon kvinna.

History

IF Fløya was founded on 22 June 1922. 1936 won the first men's team, the North Norwegian championship. Today, the team plays in the fourth division.

The Women of IF Fløya rose for the first time in 1989 in the Toppserien on and were in the following years to lift the team. The first foray into the top flight lasted just one year.
