Novell iFolder is a product of Novell. With the belonging to iFolder programs, it is possible in a simple way to keep files on multiple computers in sync.

Operation

Novell iFolder is a work based on. NET client-server system in which must be installed on the user computers of the iFolder client in addition to a central server. If an iFolder system fitted, allowing users to work with shared directories: Marks a user on his computer a directory as an iFolder directory, this is communicated to the central server, which then creates its own copy. Once the user changes something now in this iFolder directory, those changes are synchronized with the copy on the server. The user can also invite other users to also access the directory. Earlier versions of iFolder clients supported next to the server-based operation in addition a peer-to -peer mode of operation without the need for a central server. This function was restricted to local networks. Since version 3.8, this is no longer supported. It is currently not known whether the function will return in future releases.
