Ignacio Garrido

Ignacio Garrido ( born March 27, 1972 in Madrid ) is a Spanish professional golfer on the European Tour.

He won in 1992 the English Amateur Open Stroke Play Championship and in 1993 professional golfer. After a season on the Challenge Tour Garrido was a member of the 1994 European Tour. He had his best season in 1997, which he finished sixth on the European Tour Order of Merit, giving him the convening in the - brought together European Team of the Ryder Cup at Valderrama - later victorious. His most prestigious tournament victory was at the 2003 Volvo PGA Championship play-off against South African Trevor Immelman.

Ignacio Garrido is the eldest son of Antonio Garrido, a five-time tournament winner on the European Tour and Ryder Cup Player of the Year in 1979. Both Garridos are thus only the second father-son combination according to Percy and Peter Alliss, who competed in the Ryder Cup, respectively.
