Igor Bišćan (2008)

Igor Bišćan ( born May 4, 1978 in Zagreb) is a Croatian football player.

Career

His career began in 1996 in Samobor, from where he moved to Dinamo Zagreb and several national championship titles won. In the 2000 /01 season, he moved for an estimated transfer fee of 9.2 million euros for Liverpool FC, where he played until 2005 and won, among others, the UEFA Champions League. From 2005 to 2007 he played for Panathinaikos Athens and is currently playing for Dinamo Zagreb under contract.

Bišćan is versatile defensively and played 15 times for the Croatian national football team until he retired from it due to disagreements with the association leadership.
