Ihor Kolomoyskyi

Ihor Walerijowytsch Kolomojskyj (Ukrainian Ігор Валерійович Коломойський; Russian Игорь Валерьевич Коломойский / Igor Valeryevich Kolomoiski; born February 13, 1963 in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian business, sports official and patron. Kolomojskyj is considered one of the richest Ukrainians.

Kolomojskyj graduated from the Institute in Dnepropetrovsk metallurgical engineering studies, which he finished in 1985. He is co-founder and co-owner of the private bank, the largest bank in Ukraine. Around the bank's influential private group has developed, controlled which parts of the steel, oil, chemical, energy and food industry in Ukraine. Kolomojskyj is concerned about the private group at the Ukrainian airline Aerosvit Airlines, Dniproawia and Donbass Aero. In January 2013, insolvency proceedings have been initiated against all three airlines. He was also co-owner of the insolvent since 2012 Danish airline Cimber Sterling.

Kolomojskyj is president of the football club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and Vice - President of the Football Federation of Ukraine, he contributed significantly to finance the construction of Dniprostadion.

Kolomojskyj was long regarded as a supporter of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko in the presidential elections in Ukraine in 2010, he supported but not the election campaign of Tymoshenko.
