Ilam (Nepal)

Ilam ( Nepali: इलाम ILAM ) is a city in eastern Nepal and the administrative seat of the homonymous district in the Eastern region development. Situated at about 2000 meters above sea level place is especially known for its tea plantations; the tea grown there is a particularly high quality. In 2011, Ilam had 18,633 inhabitants.
