Illuminated ( German: " enlightened / illuminated " ) is a song by British duo Hurts from their album Happiness. It was released in the UK on 6 May 2011 as a double-page spread with Better Than Love.
Background
As a single release, the song was not originally intended. The British pay-TV channel Sky 1 use the song for advertising Unmissable drama. Then, the track eventually rose through frequent downloads of the album tracks in the UK Singles Chart. Hurts then decided the Son as a double A-side with Better Than Love as the fifth single from the album released. In addition, Illuminated appeared in Switzerland as a single - single on iTunes.
