IMAM Ro.30

The IMAM Ro.30 was a three -seat Italian reconnaissance aircraft. The prototype of this sesquiplane flew for the first time in 1932. Two pilots shared a conventional cockpit in front of the supporting structure, for the observer a second small cockpit behind the wings was provided.

The drive of the manufactured in small numbers series machines was carried out either by a built in Alfa Romeo Bristol Mercury radial engine with 390 hp or KW/530 some softness royalty -made Piaggio Armstrong Siddeley Jupiter VIII radial engine with 368 kW/500 hp.

Furthermore, the possibility existed a fixed observation camera or was not yet obvious radio and night flying equipment installed. The Ro.30 used only in limited numbers was replaced in 1934 by the task forces from the IMAM Ro.37.
